Susie couldn't quit playing with the marshmallows & Sandy smoking the embers. We definitely need to have more bon fires but we seem to all be pyromaniacs!
The rain finally cleared and we had a great time being outside this weekend. Terry & I tried to impress our KC friends with dinner and suprised them with a bon fire and marshmallow roast. Dinner and company was great as usual.
This is a sad day at Mystic Bay as it feels like summer is truly over. The pool and hottub is being drained and ready for winter. It's a good thing that Susie, Sandy, and I took our final dip in it on Saturday and to our suprise the heat was off! As always our guys were proud of us!!
Terry & I took advantage of the beautiful day, Sunday to take a boat ride and enjoy the changing colors and calm waters. We really enjoyed getting out after the awful cold and rainy weather we've had.
After a fun lunch on the lake we went to dinner at one of our favorites, the KC Diner!! The menu consisted of Jambalaya, shrimp stew, and Gary's famous bread pudding. Terry was Gary's sous bitch for the night and learned how to make a roux.
We finally made it back to Omaha to pick up the plane. The 6 hour drive was definitely worse than the 2 hour flight home. We had a beautiful flight home and you can tell who the serious one is in this self-portrait.
